What are drop shades?

Drop shades fit onto patio covers and some other shade structures and provide privacy and added protection from sun, wind, and bugs. All of the drop shades we offer are custom-designed to fit where you want them.

We offer manual and automated options for opening and closing the shades. Manual operation, using an exterior worm drive gear is standard for all shades, Additional, automated options include a switch-operated electrical motor, remote operation, timers, or wind and sun sensor operation. The shades you choose are made to your specifications with the following options:

Cable system drop shades travel along vertical stainless-steel wires and roll up and down, are secured by a weighted bottom bar, and can be mounted onto inconsistent surfaces such as rocks and under eaves.
Box and track system shades offer excellent protection with excellent visibility complete with a stylish extruded aluminum housing box, and a choice of side rails, side cables, or free-hanging hem bar.
Zipper track systems are the perfect solution for comfortable outdoor living, blocking sun and bugs, and minimizing the wind. These screens are housed in an extruded aluminum box in four standard colors.

Do you custom-build gazebos or pergolas?

We are unique in that we manufacture many of our products in our fabrication and sewing facilities in Paso Robles CA. We are also the local dealer for top-of-the-line shade and outdoor living products from respected companies like Equinox, Four-Seasons, KE Outdoor Design, and Outdoor Elements.

When you need a new gazebo or pergola, we work closely with you to make sure you get the best one for your needs.

What colors of shade sails do you have?

We make shade sails to your specifications so we have a stock of UV-resistant fabric in a wide range of beautiful, dramatic, and complementary colors to achieve the effect you want.

We recommend you bring a few color choices when we first meet to discuss your project.

Can you cover more than one area?

Yes. In addition to covering a patio, some homeowners have other areas of their property where they would like a shade structure. Some of the most common include:
