Is an awning more practical than a canopy?

This depends on what you want. In general terms, an awning attaches to a building, usually over a window or door. A canopy is a cover that attaches to a freestanding structure. Other kinds of shade covers may attach portions of a building to cover a patio or similar space. Canopy is used as a generic term to describe a wide range of shade covers.

There are specific distinctions for canopies, shade sails, patio covers, awnings, and other shade structures. We have been in the shade business since 1982 and work closely with you to custom-design exactly what you are looking for.

What is your warranty?

We offer a lifetime, transferrable warranty.

Do you repair awnings?

High-quality awnings can last 15 years or more. When an awning is worn in one spot it is usually worn in other spots and the most economical benefit is to replace it. We would also make sure that the existing awning frame is still in good working order.

If there is a problem with an awning from Shoreline Awning & Patio, we honor the warranty.

How do I maintain my awning?

It’s important to periodically clean awnings to remove dust, dirt, and debris that may settle on them. Other maintenance includes trimming trees and tall shrubs away from awnings, closing retractable awnings when winds reach a certain speed, and maintaining the motor for a retractable awning.
