How expensive is a louvered pergola?
The cost of a custom-designed and manufactured louvered pergola depends on the dimensions, construction materials, and options. A professionally constructed and installed pergola can increase property value. Shoreline pergolas, including louvered pergolas, come with a lifetime transferable warranty. Do I need an electrical connection to adjust the louvers?
The remote control for the louvers is battery-operated. Even though we offer electrical wiring as an option, it’s not necessary to operate the louvers. Louvered pergolas also have a manual feature in the event you run out of batteries for the remote or prefer manual operation.
Can I plant vines on a louvered pergola?
Vines can interfere with louver adjustment, unless they are kept sufficiently pruned. Although vine-covered pergolas are beautiful, we don’t recommend allowing vines to grow over the top of a louvered pergola. There is a high probability of damaging the louvers.
Can I combine a louvered pergola roof with another style of roof?
Yes. Many pergola owners like a combination of louvered with other roof styles. Let us know what you have in mind, and we will work with you to create the perfect combination for your pergola. A popular option combines a solid section to block the sun at its most intense level, and a louvered section providing more flexibility.
